  • Early Childhood Education for Children in Pre-school and Kindergarten

  • Elementary School

  • Middle and High School

  • Tutoring Center

  • Before and After-school Childcare

  • International Student Program

  • One-on-One Learning Programs

At WHCP, we emphasize achievement in math and science and offer a stellar physics program. Our curriculum includes arts education at all grade levels, and we meet and exceed the California Common Core Standards. Many of our superb faculty hold advanced degrees, including several PhDs.

WHCP offers students the best “cradle-to-college” education by providing a family like, nurturing academic environment with small class sizes. We chart our students’ progress from early childhood through high school, and our program is responsive to children’s individual strengths and weaknesses. We support the individuality of our students, who study together each year while developing a genuine love for learning, and an appreciation for academic rigor and success.

WHCP’s international team of faculty and administration bring a wealth of experience in the best international pedagogical practices to WHCP. As a result, we serve a unique community of families and children with international backgrounds. We partner with the local West Hollywood city government and with community non-profits to actively involve our students in community life and civic programs. WHCP truly provides the nurturing and educational experience children need to grow into productive members of society.

History

West Hollywood College Preparatory School was founded in 2000 by
Dr. Elina Dvorskaya. An educator with over 45 years teaching and school administration experience, Dr. Dvorskaya dreamed of founding a school in America that would offer a supportive, family like environment with small classes, exceptional teachers, and excellent math, science and arts programs. In 2003, Dr. Dvorskaya opened WHCP with its Pre-K to 12th grade program at its present location in the heart of West Hollywood, California.

WHCP now serves nearly 100 children each year. We offer our regular school program, an international student program, tutoring, summer school programs, one-on-one educational programs, extracurricular activities and childcare. We are fully licensed and our Middle and High School programs are fully accredited.

WHCP is an active member of the West Hollywood community. We enjoy great support from our local government, and our students have participated in such events as the annual West Hollywood Book Fair and Russian Cultural Festival.
